Atari Paddles Project

Some Atari 2600 games are controlled with Atari Paddles. As of mid-2026, I have never found a good solution to the problem of emulating paddle input for these games. This is a shame, because the Atari paddle games are some of the finest games ever made, and modern input devices such as XBox-style controllers do not provide good gaming experiences. They don't provide even the experiences that were available forty years ago.

I will try to solve this problem in 2026, and I will make use of this page to record my attempt.
